Vibe Tribe Tee: Fashion Diploma Assignment – Concept Development

This week’s focus was on developing the concept and design for my customizable tee, which I’ve named the Vibe Tribe Tee.
The silhouette is a stretch tee that’s slightly fitted — not tight, just enough structure to be flattering while still wearable for everyday ritual wear. Key design notes:
- Multiple placement options for the signature neon green silk tag (hand-painted symbol optional)
- Optional row of crystals around the neckline, selected by the wearer for metaphysical resonance
- Optional colourful trims (e.g., knitted iCord) to enhance visual energy
The visual development includes both digital flats and hand-rendered sketches showing front, back, and detail placements. I experimented with different silk tag locations to see how the symbol could subtly or boldly integrate into the garment depending on mood.

Customisation Options (Aesthetic + Symbolic)
- Crystals: Rose quartz, obsidian, citrine, tiger’s eye, etc.
- Silk tag: 1-inch square painted dose symbol on neon silk with PVC overlay
- Trim: Detachable iCord in vibrant tones (knitted)
Each of these elements is designed to feel ritualistic, personal, and slightly absurd — like a wearable prescription. It ties directly into the broader apothecary brand vision while functioning as a genuinely wearable staple.
Next Steps
- Finalise fabric selection for the base tee (likely cotton-modal stretch)
- Paint test symbols on silk squares
- Source or prototype crystal bead loops for neckline option
